Smart but Scattered

Frequently it has been observed that an individual who is very successful in one domain of his/her life may be very unsuccessful in another. For example, an individual might be a very organized and goal directed in his studies or profession but becomes big failure in controlling his/her emotions. There comes such situation in life when most of us find it difficult to manage even the smallest problems. More or less everybody faces the similar problems, one generation after another. In past we are facing and in future our next generation will be facing it.

Sometime it happens that our physical energies and enthusiasm for achievement is on at its peak but our mind is unripe which root cause of chaos while achieving goal. One may be very bright, creative and smart and perhaps be achiever in the accomplishment of some tasks but he/she does not use to do the same in all the cases. We are striving hard to meet the others expectations. We definitely keep on trying to do what others expect from us and what we desire to do in a mature way and with a sense of complete responsibility. Researchers have shown that some important skills are required to perform the tasks like decision making, problem solving and overall to the regulation of the behavior. Such skills are called Executive skills. Neuroscientists refers them Brain Based Executive Skills. Generally the term of Executive skills is taken as a group of those skills which are used to run a good business i.e. finance management, communication, strategic planning and decision making.

These skills are present at the time of birth in every innate, it means the potential of executive skills is wired with our brain at the time of birth like language. There are some factors which can influence the development of executive skills such as Trauma, Genes, Environment and psychosocial stressors.

Executive skills are those brain based skills that help us to regulate our behaviors, selection of goals and problem solve. These skills are present since the time of birth as a potential but reached to their prime in adulthood. Everybody has a list of executive skills strengths as well as executive skill weakness. Excited and motivated brains can perform excellently if they are supported by trained and polished executive skills.

It becomes depressing to be unable to manage all the affairs smartly. There, at that time a practical assistance and guidance is inevitable. In willing ways, our objective is to identify through assessment the executive skills weaknesses and to treat or address those weaknesses through the implementation of intervention or techniques.
